Buttoned up Bordeaux down

BCBG sweater, Free People corduroys, Burlington Coat Factory denim shirt, Anthropologie statement necklace, Lucky Penny boots

Transition your summer staple, the denim button down, into your autumn wardrobe.  Keep this trend fresh for fall by layering with your coziest sweater.  I love how this cropped capelet shows off the shirt sleeves, keeping me toasty warm minus the bulk.  To complete the look, snug cords in deep plum were perfect tucked into the piecemeal leather boots.

Locomotive

Burlington Coat Factory Maxi Dress, Urban Outfitters cross body purse,
 Anthropologie sunglasses, Target sandals

The perfect summer date dress must have the ability to move with you as you are swept off your feet. Nothing is worse than having to adjust and re-adjust a binding outfit, when all you should be concerned with is deciding which white wine goes better with your fresh catch of the day.  I don't like to sacrifice comfort, even if I am dressing to impress my special someone.  This gorgeous turquoise maxi does the trick with gold chain straps and a sexy silhouette, while baring only a bit of skin.  The best part? ...this hot little number only cost me $19.99.

I spotted this Mara Hoffman maxi at Shopbop with a similiar body skimming effect and funky print, but it's a pretty penny at $161.70.

Top: Sam Edelman sandal 6pm $50.99;  Bottom: Giuseppe Zanotti jeweled sandal Neiman Marcus $775

Top: Maddie sunglasses Anthropologie $38;  Bottom: Dita Vesoul sunglasses Shopbop $350

Happy Easter fawns!  Armed with strategic pastel styling, I successfully met my boyfriend's extended family today.  A sunny disposition, paired with a peachy toned pencil skirt can go a long way ;)

Happy first day of Spring!  What better way to start the season than to stock up on adorable maxi dresses?  Right now is the best time to get the most coveted styles.  I always find that if I wait to shop when it starts to get warm, my size always runs out of stock in the pattern or color I really want.  Luckily, I can still get away with shopping in the juniors section of department stores...or at least I think I can hahah.  In the past month I've seen really great Junior's printed maxi's for super cheap at stores like Marshalls, TJ's and Burlington Coat Factory.  I recommend you scope them out ASAP!  If online shopping is more your thing, check out the links below to some gorgeous Spring treats.
