Fawn MUSE: Elizabeth Taylor

Beauty, grace, and femme fatale are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think of the legend that is Liz.  She epitomized Hollywood glamour and will forever be known as one of the most beautiful women to ever live.  Yesterday, we lost this iconic movie star and to honor her memory I wanted to share some of my favorite images of her.
Butterfield 8 is my favorite Elizabeth Taylor movie....slips and furs and backwards worn pearls. phenom.

Rest in Peace Elizabeth

Versatile Blogger Award

A huge thank you to the beautiful and talented Leeya of Queen Leeya & her Closet for awarding me with The Versatile Blogger Award.  I am so proud to be a part of this network of talented people who share my
infatuation with fashion. Cheers to you Leeya!

Rules of the award:
1. Link back to the person who has given you the award
2. Write 7 facts about yourself
3. Give the award to 7 bloggers

Here are 7 fun facts about me  : )

1. Mafia movie addict! Goodfellas, Casino, The em all!

2. I love IMDB trivia.... I search countless movies on and get a kick out of learning little known facts about how the movie was created, casting tidbits and more. Here is an example of the interesting facts you can find out about a movie using one of my favorites, Halloween (1978).

3. I love Dita Von Teese! I think she's gorgeous and an inspiration to pale girls everywhere!  She is a portrait of retro perfection.  If only I could raid her closet! siggghhhhhhh.

4. I'm half Turkish from my Mom's side and I'm part Austrian, Irish, and Polish from my Dad's side.

5.  One of my favorite artists is Sade.  Her music is timeless and beautifully soulful.  P.S. my wedding song will be "By your Side"

6.  Recently obsessed with The Office. I tend to catch on to popular shows pretty late. So I've been doing a lot of catching up these past two years.  Hilarious! Dwight is my favorite :)

7. I've been on T.V. twice for People Style Watch Magazine's fashion features. Live television is sooo nerve racking, but so much fun!!  Here are the two links :)  Stylish twists on black and white basics  Fashions that flatter your figure

Ivy League

A crisp white button down shirt never goes out of style. I like this version because it spices up the classic shirt with the zig-zag collar.
I adore the pattern on the wooden heel of these shoes!
A linen blazer = my spring must have!

We shot this outfit at Princeton University on a pleasantly surprising warm day.  Yay for spring and not needing to wear tights!  I love walking through this antiquated campus and observing the Gothic architecture.  I come here every spring and enjoy the fresh air and people watching. You can even find many quiet little spots to steal a kiss if you bring a date. Purely innocent! Something about this campus is very romantic to me.

Onyx & Congac

I purchased this Gorjana necklace at my favorite online retailer, Shopbop

Anthropologie top and skirt, Hue tights, Sam Edelman platform wedges, Goldenbleu clutch, Gorjana peacock feather necklace

I immediately fell in love with these shoes when I first saw them on Free People's website.  The wedge design makes them easy to walk in, minus the occasional teeter that occurs when my foot leans too far to the side.  When you're as clumsy as I am, you get used to such occurences! The top I'm wearing from Anthropologie has a longer silhouette that looks great over jeans as well. Surpisingly, the stripes do not make you look larger than you are, but they actually streamline your middle.  I also love wearing this top with cropped looks super modern and trendy.

Wild Horses Couldn't Drag Me Away....

I must admit that I am a sale QUEEN. I can scour through racks upon racks of random markdowns to find that one perfect bargain.  However, I could not resist the splurge of this gorgeous sweater. The ribbed weaving and scalloped edges had me obsessing about it from the moment I saw it in Anthro's catalogue.  It's as comfy cozy as it looks....sigghhh...soon I'll have to retire it for spring.

Ohhhhhh my free peeps skirt makes me so happy!  It's perfect for layering and even doubles as a top....I'm sure I will have a set coming soon that features it as such.

I wear these Coach boots almost everyday....its kind of an obsession. They are so comfortable and the detailing is special, but simple.

The concept behind this set was inspired by the song "Wild Horses" by The Rolling Stones. It's a bit melancholy, but overall expresses a love so consuming that nothing could keep you from it.  I'm a sucker for romance I know! I wish that I could have a soundtrack to my life and the perfect song for my mood could be magically cued from my own personal dj.  In this set, my mood is introspective, I am a wanderer letting the serenity of nature keep my secret thoughts about the love I pine for.
My favorite version of  "Wild Horses" is a cover by The Sundays....I  made this video with the song to share how I trully envisioned this also includes some outtake photos.
